You will be working with young people aged 11 to 18 who have been placed into the care system for numerous reasons with an array of disorders, behaviours and needs and therefore require individuals who have the confidence, patience and skill set to successfully work with these young people and make a positive impact on their lives.
You will work with young people who are either vulnerable, on remand, or serving custodial sentences. This is a meaningful role where you can make a real difference every day.
You will support a young person with a history of significant trauma, neurodevelopmental needs (including ADHD and communication difficulties), and complex behaviours which may include dysregulation, heightened emotional distress, and absconding risk. This is not a routine residential role.

You must be resilient, calm under pressure, and able to communicate effectively with young people and professionals. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins, is essential.
You must hold or be willing to work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within two years of employment.
