You will be joining one of the UK’s major rail networks, operating a large fleet of trains across multiple routes and connecting city centres, towns, and rural communities. You will develop a strong understanding of the areas to be cleaned, the required cleaning schedules, and the correct use of all cleaning equipment and chemicals on the premises, while strictly following Health and Safety requirements.
You will be required to work effectively as part of a team, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently using your own initiative.
You will be involved in various tasks including swarf removal from machine tools, cleaning machines, basic building maintenance, and general housekeeping. Additionally, you will handle local deliveries and collections using the company van. Day-to-day of the role: - Remove swarf from machine tools and maintain cleanliness of machines.
You will be managing a small team of Cleaners.
You will be given a company van. Points will be accepted but we can not consider candidates who have had a driving ban. The shifts can vary from Monday - Thursday nights or Monday - Friday days, depending on the work involved. The pay rate will be £18 per hour whilst working, and any travelling time is paid at £12.21 per hour.
