You will play a pivotal part in our British Gas' Service Promise!

You will have plenty of support from our managers, mentors, and engineer colleagues but some of the jobs can be challenging and experience of working across an array of different boilers and central heating systems and manufacturers is essential.

You will be spending 2 to 3 days a week on client sites with the balance of your time in the office and working from home, typically working 8 hour days.

You will be expected to travel the whole UK and stay away 1 night per week on average.

You will receive an acknowledgement of your application.

You will need good knowledge of using Control Systems to control the hydraulics, things like closed-loop control, motion control, servo control, PID tuning etc.

You will be working on complex, bespoke test rigs that operate like “testing robots”, combining hydraulics, electronics, controls, software and mechanical engineering at a very high level.

You will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant operation of the sites core services, supporting production and minimising downtime. Your responsibilities will include: - Maintaining and operating site services including steam boilers, refrigeration, utilities, heating systems, hot & cold water and effluent treatment
