You will be providing 1 to 1 support for young children with a range of special educational needs including developmental and communication needs. The role will include feeding support and personal care as well as supporting children to access play and learning activities and interact with other children.
You must be able to demonstrate experience with complex SEND including intimate care.
You will work 1:1 and in small groups under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO, implementing behaviour support strategies and personalised learning plans. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children who display challenging behaviour, strong communication skills, and a calm, confident approach to de-escalation and emotional support.
You will be teaching a small class of pupils with Autism, supported by experienced Teaching Assistants. You’ll deliver creative and differentiated lessons to engage students and meet their individual learning goals. Strong communication and classroom management skills are essential.
