You must have a genuine interest in promoting independence and supporting customers to regain their confidence and skills. This may be after a period of rehabilitation in a residential setting or on returning home from hospital. We also receive a large number of community referrals for customers who may be struggling to manage at home with an identified need.
You will need to be self-motivated, able to work under pressure and be a real team player. Knowledge of housing benefit regulations and council tax support or experience processing would be beneficial but is not essential.
You will need excellent communication skills as well as being able to demonstrate the ability to work within a fast paced environment and have experience of the full range of welfare benefits.
