You will contribute to the development and support of distributed control systems for Diamonds photon beamlines and experimental stations. This includes tasks like requirements gathering, software design, development, documentation, and commissioning new solutions.
You willworkclosely with scientists, engineers and technicians designing, building, and operating the photon beamlines.
You will become the primary resolver for your support team, and gain troubleshooting skills on one or more operating systems.
You will be able to troubleshoot and solve all but the most complex infrastructure issues.
You will need to be a UK national and able to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Clearance.
You will take great care and pride in your work, keeping disruption to a minimum for our homeowners and tidying up after yourself when carrying out duties and repairs.
You will be able to demonstrate a courteous and professional manner, able to communicate with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy.
