You should have a methodical approach, strong attention to detail, and an organised way of working. Experience in a supervisory or team leader role is required, alongside a baseline understanding of facilities management (FM) environments.
You will lead for compliance at your buildings as well as working collaboratively with colleagues, contractors and volunteers to deliver projects. You'll work to protect the historic environment whilst ensuring we continue to improve our climate resilience. And you'll be a key user of our systems, helping to manage information and monitor works.
You will support across two of our services: Gregory House in Workington and Ann House in Cumbria.
You will work on either a permanent basis, spending 3 days per week at the closest service and 2 days at the other, or on a part-time basis at either service.
You will also facilitate staff reflective practice sessions and be requested to design and deliver training.
You will rotate through several specialised teams, each focused on different aspects of plant maintenance.
You will get hands-on experience with a broad range of equipment, including variable speed drives, computer numerical control (CNC) machinery, automated welding, cranes, robotics, thermography and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
You must be comfortable using computers and keen to learn how software supports large‐scale operations.
