You will be focusing on supporting the team in enabling works phase of the overhead lines sites prior to tower assembly and erection.

You will be contributing to the increased network capacity required to deliver the UK government's pathway to 2030 and the transition to net zero.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Edinburgh, Scotland location on an onsite work schedule. You will work closely with Mechanical and Electrical design engineers, supporting large industrial developments such as data centres, logistics hubs, and large-scale distribution facilities. What you'll need to succeed - Previous experience working as a BIM Coordinator or in a similar BIM-focused role within a building services or engineering consultancy.

You will conduct both simulation and experimental research into quantum key distribution (QKD), explore the dual-use capabilities of 2D SPAD (Single-Photon Avalanche Diode) arrays, and develop novel multiplexing techniques for high-throughput secure links

You will join a project team in the development of strategies, solutions, and integrated project schemes for both public sector and private sector clients.

You will have the opportunity to work for a range of clients including national, regional, and local government, energy developers, education establishments, industry, and healthcare providers.

You will need to be flexible in your work location as you will be away from home for periods of time and will travel and work across Scotland.

You will assist in the production of construction plans and coordinate the engineering support team.

You will also be responsible for the procurement of construction materials and specialist subcontracts for the successful delivery of projects.

You will be responsible for managing revenue and entitlement on an open book basis, managing the estimating of the construction phase and long-lead procurement orders whilst driving delivery strategy.

You will enjoy the challenges of delivering project target EBIT, addressing unexpected events, and managing within budgets.
