You will have skills in positive communication and engagement and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support.
You will need to be flexible and able to deliver support in all aspects of daily living and personal care in a dignified manner.
You should be an effective communicator be prepared to use different communication tools and methods and follow the lead of the person you're communicating with, as we have a variety of different communication styles. Flexibility is essential as the role includes working every other weekend and shifts are varied on a rota basis to include mornings, afternoons, & evenings.
You will be responsible for ensuring that care and support is of a high standard, focused on person centred outcomes and delivered within budget.
You will ensure that all needs assessments, support plans and risk assessments are kept up to date.
You will preferably have experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and distressed behaviours/emotions.
You will be supported by us to make a difference by not only providing personal care to the people we support but supporting them to take part in a wide range of activities, promoting independence along the way.
