You will champion a therapeutic and restorative ethos within the unit, ensuring it acts as a genuine stepping-stone back to mainstream success. Unit Leadership: Take full responsibility for the day‑to‑day management and strategic development of the Behaviour Unit, ensuring a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.

You will be working in a 1 to 1 capacity with students who have very complex emotional and behavioural needs. These students often come from traumatic backgrounds and are disengaged with mainstream education.

You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check VR/(phone number removed) IND-SEN

You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils who require additional help with behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning. Your role will involve: - Providing 1:1 and small group support - Implementing behaviour strategies and personalised support plans

You will be required to support in small classes from Year 7 – Year 11, using behaviour management skills in assisting pupils in overcoming barriers to learning. Pupils are all aged 11-16 with some students having EHCPs for Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs as well as associated needs such as Autism or ADHD.

You will need to be resilient, empathetic, patient and not take things too personally.

You will teach small classes of pupils aged 11–16 (Year 7–Year 11), adapting lessons to meet individual needs and using strong behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
