You will support pupils across a variety of settings, both in and out of the classroom, and work on a 1:1 and small-group basis with children who benefit from tailored learning activities.

You will be working as an SEN Teaching Assistant at a Special Needs School in Abingdon, supporting primary-age children with a diverse range of needs.
You will support a small class of 8 to 10 students, working alongside the class teacher and another teaching assistant to create a fun and exciting learning environment.
You will also help manage any challenging behaviour that may arise, and encourage positive decision making.
You will gain a first-hand insight into development and neurodiversity, as well as the therapeutic and restorative methods used to help engage Autistic children. This will give you the experience essential to train as a Psychologist or Therapist in the future.

You will be supporting children aged 3 to 16 with moderate learning difficulties, as well as children with autism and communication difficulties.
