You will be responsible for ensuring that a quality catering service is delivered to all customers within allocated sites whilst ensuring East Renfrewshire Council remains compliant with the Schools (Health promotion and Nutrition) (Scotland) Act 2020, Setting the table guidance, Healthy working lives, better eating better learning, whilst contributing to service objectives.

You will be responsible for ensuring that a quality catering service is delivered to all customers within allocated sites whilst ensuring East Renfrewshire Council remains compliant with the Schools (Health promotion and Nutrition) (Scotland) Act 2020, Setting the table guidance, Healthy working lives, better eating better learning, whilst contributing to service objectives.

You will be responsible for all catering activities within the unit including menu planning, cooking and baking, stock control, maintaining budgetary targets, administration, supervision and training of staff.

You should have previous supervisory, administration and function work experience as well as experience of ordering and controlling stock.

You will require to be registered or eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

You will have basic IT skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office and complete online learning.

You will be registered with the SSSC or willing to register, be a member of the PVG Scheme, and committed to maintaining professional standards.

You will lead by example, supporting and guiding your colleagues to provide safe, compassionate and consistent care throughout the night.

You will hold an SVQ Level 3 in Social Care and be willing to complete PDA Supervision, PDA Medication, SVQ Level 4 and the Workplace Assessor Award.

You will assist the Service Delivery Manager implement and maintain effective systems of accountability, quality assurance and performance management, ensuring all personal support plans are monitored and reviewed within statutory timescales.

You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
