Trainee Service Engineer jobs in Hull

You will travel to customer sites carrying out a range of planned service and reactive repairs to forklift trucks and materials handling equipment. . The company will provide you will full product training to get you up to speed in the new industry. This is a Mon-Fri days based role with a 1 in 7 call out rota and optional overtime to increase your earnings.

You will be staying away from home, 2 days per week on average, with very occasional weekend work and overtime paid door to door.

Job Description MECHANICAL BUILDING SERVICES DESIGN ENGINEER POSITION : Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer LOCATION : Commutable from Leeds , Sheffield, Doncaster, York , Hull , Harrogate, Grimsby , Scunthorpe, Lincoln , Barnsley , Rotherham, Scarborough The client offers a hybrid mix of home working and office based work HOURLY RATE : Negotiable hourly rate - Range £21 ph - £27 ph ....

You will need good knowledge of using Control Systems to control the hydraulics, things like closed-loop control, motion control, servo control, PID tuning etc.

You will be working on complex, bespoke test rigs that operate like "testing robots", combining hydraulics, electronics, controls, software and mechanical engineering at a very high level.

You will be asked to be available for a minimum of 4 weekends throughout the year but can work more if desired. Area 1 - South West / Central UK – ideal base Bristol, Worcester, Swindon Area 2 - East Sussex, Eastbourne, Bexhill, Brighton running to Crawley in the north.

You will support the on-boarding and development of new accounts - with this role being a tactical, execution-focused position by converting warm leads and ensuring consistent coverage of accounts in the region.

You will: Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers in the assigned region

You will also manage the technical service escalation queries and processes via online and system portals

You will become a vital member of the technical service team to ensure that technical customer service care is high quality for all local business partners and end customers

You will be provided you with a van, tool kit and your own scheduler to ensure your diary is both efficient and consistent. Duties & Responsibilities - Deliver, install and validate new equipment. - Carry out scheduled maintenance, site surveys and advise the customer of any additional costs incurred.
