Trainee Network Technician jobs in Gloucester

You will work from a dedicated service van fully equipped with specialist tools and parts to repair or recover vehicles. To start with we will train you to attend simple faults such as batteries, wheel changes, and cars that don't start progressing onto more technical repairs as training progresses.

You will need to have held a full driving licence for a minimum of three years.

You will need to be level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in HGV Vehicle Repair and maintenance, plus plant machinery repair and maintenance to a minimum of Level 3. What’s more, you will need the ability to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with the DVSA Standards and have a current, full UK driving license for the relevant vehicle and machinery classes.

You will be responsible for the safe operation, switching, and maintenance of high-voltage networks, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety rules and regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Carry out HV switching operations up to 33kV under safety rules. - Issue and cancel safety documents (e.g., permits to work, isolation certificates).
