You must hold a valid Class 1 license to operate articulated vehicles.

You should be able to work well as part of a team of drivers and assistants.
You should have experience of operating a tail lift and safety equipment used to secure wheelchairs for travel. It would be beneficial if you have experience in customer care, ideally working with vulnerable people or in a school or health care setting.
You will need to demonstrate good communication skills.
