You will also have a pivotal input to the development and creation of complex test procedures to govern critical de-risking activities. This team plays a critical role in testing the software of vital boat systems, writing test procedures and delivering measures to significant stages of the submarine build, and is a team that is expected to grow rapidly, allowing for development opportunities.
You will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Perform technical duties across mechanical, electronic, and system-based projects. Conduct testing, measurements, and process controls on key production lines.
You will work as part of a committed team to meet departmental goals whilst developing yourtechnical skills & understanding of yourallocated Test Section.
You will gain experience working towards key events of the boat build and will develop yourskills and knowledge though studies and practical learning on site.
You will also have a pivotal input to the development and creation of complex test procedures to govern critical de-risking activities. You will gainsoftware development knowledge through a rotation of placements, andhave the opportunity to learn about how we design, develop, deliver and test bespoke applications for the business.
You will work as the Electrical Subject Matter Expert (SME) within SSNA’s Steam Integrated Delivery Team (SIDT). The SIDT is tasked with delivering key equipment into the SSNA platform, which is novel to a submarine environment. Due to the novelty of the equipment there is a need to support equipment delivery with additional parallel technology maturity enablement plans.
