You will work with an experienced engineer who will provide day-to-day guidance and on-the-job training.
You should be working towards a master’s level degree, typically in Physics, although degrees in other physical sciences or engineering disciplines will be considered. Relevant photonics experience, such as laboratory work, previous summer placements or internships. Experience with technical writing and project planning.
You will gain experience on some aspects of the development lifecycle via the individual project.
You will be given the opportunity to learn about the Leonardo products via the project.
You will be expected to spend at least three or four days each week on site, to integrate with your team and maximise your learning experience by designing, testing or integrating hardware on the Edinburgh site.
