You will work with lower ability and SEN pupils in Secondary key stages - supporting across a wide range of subjects.
You will be required to support the Class Teacher in delivering lessons and classroom management.
You will be a positive and happy presence in class who is able to provide pupils with encouragement and praise.
You should hold a degree in any subject and have a genuine interest in early childhood education. Patience, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills are essential. Previous experience working with young children—whether in a nursery, school, or volunteer setting—will be an advantage.
You will also provide support in the playground encouraging the children's development of positive social friendships and play skills.
You will have experience of working with/caring for children, have your own children, or have worked with children in a voluntary capacity Please refer to the attached job description & person specification for further details.
