You will collaborate with the engineers at missile level to ensure the actuation system meets the needs of the missile.

You will work with various engineering disciplines within the Centre of Excellence to understand the functional architecture and relevant requirements for the electronics, mechanical and software domains.

You will be responsible for the electrical architecture and requirements for missiles and/or their associated launcher systems with duties including: - Specifying/determining - system electrical requirements - interface definitions and characteristics between subsystems/equipment

You will join a growing systems integration and validation team, playing a key role in demonstrating that advanced actuator or electromechanical systems meet demanding performance and compliance requirements. Reporting into a senior proving lead, you will plan, conduct and report on trials throughout the product lifecycle, from early risk reduction through to formal qualification and certification.

You will shape how we approach our programmes, considering the needs and expectations of customers, the capability of technology and third party suppliers. Day to day you'll be key in providing education, training and consultancy style, system design support to key programmes, tailored to their needs to ensure maximum benefit is obtained from best practice use.

You will have experience in functional design and/or integration to demonstrate your understanding of the challenges of integrating complex systems into a larger / wider system context. This role will involve working with our customer to support system requirements and architecture definition whilst working internally within a multidisciplinary team to develop a product that meets this need.
