You will be responsible for construction planning, estimating traffic numbers, construction workforce numbers, temporary facilities required for the delivery of the project, construction staging and execution plan development.
You will work independently and proactively on technical aspects from a projects inception, determining client briefs, to the delivery and close out of projects in accordance with best practice.
You will instruct, supervise and mentor junior staff in the design and management of schemes and work with clients to ensure delivery of projects to time and cost, and to help manage change.
You must be fully flexible to travel, as this role will involve working at multiple depot sites across London and potentially across the wider UK as project demands increase. You will support the delivery of projects both technically as well as support junior colleagues throughout the delivery of projects, including client facing roles.
You will guide design development, ensure engineering quality and compliance, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and support integration with airport operations and adjacent infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and technically robust solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
You will also work to ensure the proposed design concepts can be manufactured cost-effectively.
You will oversee the prototype build of products in question, prepare relevant documentation and actively participate in PFMEAs (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis) and DFMEs (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis).
You will take individual responsibility for a range of project types, manage them independently and be the clients main point of contact.
You will lead independently and proactively on technical aspects including preparing designs, specification, technical approval submissions, site supervision and will be fully conversant with industry design standards.
