You will be involved with feasibility studies, site surveys and investigations.
You will work collaboratively with clients, partners and other team members to develop designs and project-wide solutions across a wide variety of projects across Stantec’s Energy and Resources sector.
You will be partnering with the top water clients in the area (and in the UK) to help develop a better way of how we obtain, clean, and distribute water for our local communities.
You will be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering. Ideally, you will be Chartered and be a member of a relevant engineering institution.
You will be joining a diverse and highly skilled team of Water Engineers and Modellers who are solving some of the industry’s toughest challenges. This role is a true blend of technical learning and real-world delivery.
You must fulfil our GCSE entry requirements as well as one of the requirements listed below:
You will also ideally be an Incorporated or Chartered member of a relevant engineering institution e.g. ICE, CIWEM. You’ll have previous experience of developing detailed designs, working in a contractor led environment, leading and developing civil engineers and managing other technical professionals to achieve holistic technical outcomes.
You will report directly to our Specialist Structural Engineering Technical Lead; developing our structural knowledge and capability, and supporting internal opportunities in sectors beyond water and energy.
You will also carry out structural inspections and produce accurate reports that define requirements for asset maintenance and modification to meet client and regulatory standards.
You will join our integrated, national team, working on high-impact projects that span the entire water cycle across the UK & Ireland. We're looking for engineers who are ready to transition from foundational roles to project leadership and technical specialisation.
You will be involved in the full project lifecycle, operating as a key technical contributor:
You will join our team based in Birmingham to predominately work on Severn Trent Water’s AMP8 CSO programme but also on a wide variety of studies centred around a thorough knowledge of urban drainage and its role within the wider water cycle and urban landscape.
You will ideally have Chartered status with a relevant professional body such as ICE or CIWEM.

You will be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
You will have the ability to collaborate with other disciplines and have experience in supporting and leading other civil engineers.
You will also have a track record of undertaking designs and completing design deliverables within required timescales and design budgets.
You will be involved in projects from optioneering and concept design through to outline and detailed design as well as feasibility studies, site surveys and site investigations.
You will be an experienced Electrical Engineer with a Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related subject.
