You will need to demonstrate that you have experience of looked after children care. Your experience could have been gained whilst working in a LAC, court team, attending court whilst working in a safeguarding service or another area of children’s services.
You will have a strong background in the provision of Children in Care, along with the motivation and drive for self-development.
You will manage a varied caseload, conduct assessments, and develop care plans that ensure the safety and well-being of children. The role requires working collaboratively with multi-agency partners, providing direct support to families, and making evidence-based decisions that put the child’s welfare first.

You will be part of a friendly, collaborative team that works together to provide compassionate, person-centred care. About YouWe are looking for someone with experience in the care or support sector, who brings a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others thrive.
You will arrive back to collect the car at 2.00pm, complete the school pick up, and typically home for therapy, or off to an appointment or planned activity. Mum and Dad will be home from work to take over latest 5.30pm, where they enjoy family time, until the night care team arrives at 7.30pm.
You will be an excellent communicator, team player, and confident working within a family home.
You will take the lead in managing incidents, guiding young people through challenging behaviours and maintaining a safe, therapeutic atmosphere within the home.
You will also support new staff through their induction, assist with key documentation and play a vital role in maintaining a consistent, child-centred approach across the team.
You will be required to work every other weekend and cover at least one waking night and one sleep in per week.
