You will help to ensure the efficient execution of preventative and corrective maintenance activities covering: - Leading and supervising the electrical engineering team - Support the team to achieve a excellent standards in preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and periodic inspections on all machinery, equipment, and accessories, including during annual shutdowns.

You will ensure that all systems, procedures, and production activities operate efficiently and effectively to meet the Company's operational objectives. Operational Management : Lead and oversee multiple production areas, ensuring all KPIs, productivity, and efficiency targets are achieved.

You will conduct both simulation and experimental research into quantum key distribution (QKD), explore the dual-use capabilities of 2D SPAD (Single-Photon Avalanche Diode) arrays, and develop novel multiplexing techniques for high-throughput secure links

You will be required to undertake planned maintenance of plant and associated equipment. Mechanical, electrical & building fabric repairs as directed by the GTFM Management.

You will be working as part of a team covering the Royal Edinburgh Hospital.
