You will manage contract administration, risk management and negotiation effectively to deliver the agreed profitability and cash projections, informing line management and seeking guidance as and when required. • Minimum BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent • Previous NEC contract experience (NEC3 or NEC4 option C)
You will also deliver key commercial projects alongside the existing Directors, using your commercial acumen, analytical and presentation skills to help provide recommendations, planning, guidance to others and drive change.
You will report directly to the Head of Engineering and you will provide engineering technical direction to the discipline engineers in your area in either water or water recycling non-infrastructure projects.
You will provide design support for numerous non-infrastructure schemes and ensure all designs are fit for purpose and meet current legislation and standards.
You will be accountable for the commercial and cost management of a project or programme of projects from inception to close out reporting directly to an Integrated Projects Leader (IPL) ensuring that maximum efficiencies are obtained and full compliance with all Alliance and Anglian Water governance procedures is achieved.
You will be responsible for running multiple projects at once including subcontract procurement, payments and measures, cost management and valuations, build estimates and variation costings, forecasting and cost value reporting. Applicants must have knowledge of JCT / NEC form of contracts.
