You will mostly be working alongside the class teacher to provide support to the children and in some cases on a 1:1 basis. The needs of the children can vary, and in some cases the children may have complex learning difficulties. The role of a teaching assistant can be a challenging one so patience, a friendly approach and a good sense of humour are required.
You will provide tailored support to a student with specific educational needs, fostering their academic and personal development. Experience is highly advantageous, but the successful candidate will be compassionate, resilient and comfortable in handling challenging behaviour.
