You will provide intervention in the community with clients in the most appropriate setting, working on your own under the direction of the therapists and using your initiative to follow established guidelines, referring to others as appropriate.

The SLT we are looking for will have previously worked with adults as a post-graduate therapist. You will work on general medical, acute medical assessment, surgical, oncology, critical care, and care of the elderly wards as required.

You will deliver evidence‐based, individualised rehabilitation programmes for acute inpatients, liaise with multidisciplinary team members, and take on key worker responsibilities where needed.

You will directly report to the Programme Coordinator.

You should have wider knowledge of education, health and social care support available to families and ensure that families are receiving the right support. We anticipate that you will be educated to degree level, have significant experience of the education, health, and social care system.

You will also be responsible for monitoring statutory assessment reports written by more junior members of the statutory assessment team and providing clinical feedback and support in order to ensure quality.

You will be part of a team of Band 7 therapists who take the lead on triaging new referrals to the School age Speech and Language service
