You will be responsible for planning and delivering materials to a small class, ensuring outcomes are met and tailoring activities to meet the individual needs of the children.
You will be working with a specialized team of support staff and multi-professionals to ensure pupils' needs are fulfilled and strategies are put into place.
You will be based at either our Barnstaple, Bristol or Beckington sites and allows for flexible working, including home working were appropriate. This role allows for flexible working patterns including home working (with attendance at SEAs offices being minimal - typically only required for quarterly progress meetings in Bristol and other occasional, irregular meetings at SEAs premises).
You will benefit from ongoing SEND training throughout the year. We will help you find a school where you will feel happy, and a permanent role may be offered. Five Education provides free high-quality training throughout the academic year to upskill you to become a SEND specialist.
You will need to be an excellent motivator and be willing to persevere to help children raise their self-esteem and learn new skills.
You will need to be available during school hours: 8:30-15:30. This work is term-time only, the school prefers people who can offer 5 days a week, but they will consider people who can work a minimum of two days a week.
