You will be working with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), helping them to access learning and reach their full potential. 🎯 Your Role As an Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:🤝 Provide 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with SEN.
You will work at Thornford Park which is a combination of medium secure and low secure units and rehabilitation flats.
You will work alongside the multidisciplinary to provide personalised assessment and treatment programmes for males with mental illness/ complex care needs as well as those with personality disorder.
You will be supporting children with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs, working closely with teachers and specialist staff to ensure pupils feel safe, supported, and engaged in learning.
