You will also be familiar with a strengths-based approach and able to employ this in supporting clients to maintain independence and build on community networks of support as much as possible.

You will provide assessment, care management, and social work services to children and their families, arising out of the council’s duties and powers under legislation, Council, and Group policy.

You will promote and model effective working arrangements with Mental Health services and other voluntary and community partners to support Care Experienced young people.

You will also need to be Social Work England Registered.

You will build trusting relationships, offer early help and support, and when necessary, take decisive action to ensure children are safe and thriving. Our focus is on working collaboratively with families, empowering them to overcome challenges while always keeping the child’s voice at the centre of everything we do.

You will be approachable and detail focused, ensuring that our children’s safety is assured at all times, and that all protocols and regulations are fully adhered to. You will work closely with colleagues from multiple professions to ensure that the voice of the child is always heard.

You will be fully qualified (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent), with significant post qualification social work experience and a recognised social work qualification, plus evidence of CPD and HCPC registration.
