You will be responsible for designing, supervising, and managing site investigations projects such as looking at for slope stability, landslip remediation, embedded and gravity retaining structures, and working platforms. Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer - BENEFITS - Salary - £48,000 - £52,000
You will lead the design and development of mechanical components and systems, taking ownership from concept through to detailed design and validation. This is a product-focused role requiring strong CAD capability and the ability to work independently with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier stakeholders.
You will be responsible for creating optimized design concepts and mechanical design specifications for products, parts, components, and systems, ensuring they meet rigorous standards for performance, reliability, durability, and serviceability. Key Responsibilities: - Lead design and development for complex engineering assignments.
You will support risk assessments, contaminated land assessments, and geotechnical design inputs on projects across Durham and the wider region.
You will also liaise with contractors, laboratories, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely on time, and to budget.
