You will be based at the Bideford offices, whilst supporting all the other branches across the South West. Payroll Assistant Main Duties Have a strong level of understanding processing payroll from end to end. The main duties (but not limited to) are the following: Collect, compile, and enter payroll data using appropriate software.
You will also liaise with HMRC and pension providers as well as dealing with client queries. Previous experience in a bureau style role would be highly beneficial. An extensive background in a high volume payroll environment is essential along with exposure to a variety of payroll systems

You will be responsible for preparing Personal, Trust and Estate Tax Returns and Trust year end accounts, delivering a quality compliance service, taking on a portfolio of Tax and Trust administration cases, preparing and submitting annual self-assessment tax returns and computations, preparing documents and performance figures for annual Trustees meetings.
You will then negotiate the contract sum within the budget, including finalising costs to cover all late variations
You will issue revised contract drawings to subcontractors, negotiating the cost of variations.
You will agree final accounts with subcontractors, ensuring all works have been carried out as required and analysing costs to assist on future estimates
