You will have access to regular training and development opportunities within your role. You will be working in small classes (typically 4–8 pupils), providing 1:1 and small group support. Many students are non-verbal, so experience or understanding of PECS and Makaton is highly desirable. Some roles will involve personal care, and training in manual handling, tracheostomy care, or PEG feeding is advantageous but not essential.
