SEN Learning Support Assistant jobs in Uxbridge

You will be contacted by your personal consultant (if shortlisted) for the Head of School for Supported Learning role within 48 hours.

You will work closely with teaching staff to support learning and daily routines. As a SEN support Assistant you will need to provide a calm approach and proactively deescalate situations where students are in crisis without becoming elevatedThe School – SEN Support AssistantThe school supports pupils with severe learning difficulties and offers a highly supportive and well-resourced environment.

You will support students both academically and emotionally, helping them regulate behaviour, build confidence, and engage with learning. The ideal Learning Mentor will be patient, resilient, and experienced in de-escalation and behaviour management strategies. Previous experience in an SEN school or alternative provision is highly desirable.

You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face to face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role. Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.

You will support pupils access to the curriculum by preparing differentiated resources, delivering structured teaching sessions, and adapting approaches to meet individual needs. The role includes working 1:1 and with small groups, supporting communication (including alternative and augmentative communication), managing behaviour positively, and tracking pupil progress.

You will plan, develop, coordinate and implement individual curriculum programmes for students with profound and multiple learning difficulties, providing a holistic education programme, integrating the physical, academic, social and emotional needs of individual students.
