You will work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to create a nurturing, secure, and engaging learning environment where pupils feel understood, respected, and empowered to succeed. You will need to be an excellent motivator and be willing to persevere to help children raise their self-esteem and learn new skills.
You will need to be available during school hours: 8:30-15:30. This work is term-time only, the school prefers people who can offer 5 days a week, but they will consider people who can work a minimum of two days a week.
You will play a key role in ensuring that students receive the individualised support they need to thrive in both their learning and personal development. This is a highly hands-on role that will give you a deeper understanding of how to support children with additional needs in an educational setting.
You must have an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
