You will work closely with experienced staff and receive on-the-job education and training to support your professional development.
You will be supporting pupils in Year 6 with a range of additional needs, including:Autism and social‑communication needsADHD and attention regulationLearning delays and working‑memory supportEmotional regulation and confidence buildingPreparation for the move to secondary schoolThe role includes in‑class support, small‑group intervention, and some 1:1 work, depending on pupil needs.
You will support teachers in delivering structured lessons, adapt resources to meet individual needs, assist with daily routines and transitions, and help maintain a calm, consistent learning environment. An ideal candidate must have experience with ASD pupils, the ability to be patient, have a resilient approach and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
