You will be responsible for overseeing, delivering and leading Short Breaks Club sessions for children and young people who have a disability or additional needs, and to ensure that all safeguarding, regulator and health & safety requirements are being met.
You will be required to travel to the office where your team is based and within a geographical area to undertake direct work with children, young people and families, to attend meetings and training as required.
You will have the opportunity to develop your professional skills and confidence for a career in frontline social work.
You will work closely with the child's Social Worker and the Fostering service (and other services as appropriate) to ensure coordination of care and support.
You will work in Foster Carers' homes and in either our office in Woking or Reigate although you may, from time to time, be asked to assist in other areas.
You will be responsible for supporting with overseeing and delivering a program of activities to meet the needs of the children and young people who have a disability or additional needs. Also supporting with ensuring safeguarding and regulatory requirements are being met.
