You will be responsible for providing a complete range of high quality confidential administrative support to the Science Division including the Deputy Science Directors and Science Group Leaders.

You will help draft bids and ensure that they are legally and commercially sound.
You will review and challenge bids and proposals to ensure that they meet Government financial rules and good commercial practice.
You will provide sound commercial advice to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

You will be able to troubleshoot and solve all but the most complex infrastructure issues. Issues are escalated to the appropriate resolver groups when necessary.
You will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics or equivalent in relevant discipline. Demonstrate a strong background in mechanical engineering with excellent working knowledge of engineering drawings. Have design experience of materials selection, joining and manufacturing techniques, with advanced level knowledge of a 3D CAD system with hands on experience.
You will have access to state-of-the-art laboratories for structural and cellular biology embedded at eBIC and within the Research Complex at Harwell to pursue your research.
You will demonstrate expertise and a proven track record in cryoEM methods. A strong background in in situ structural biology, particularly cryoFIB/SEM, cryo-electron tomography and sub-tomogram averaging is highly desirable.
