The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing mould tools, patterns, or similar tooling applications, and understands the practical realities of taking a design from screen to finished product.

You will need good knowledge of using Control Systems to control the hydraulics, things like closed-loop control, motion control, servo control, PID tuning etc.

You will be working on complex, bespoke test rigs that operate like “testing robots”, combining hydraulics, electronics, controls, software and mechanical engineering at a very high level.

You will shape both how interactions are built and what expressive capabilities are possible, translating cutting-edge research into robust, real-world systems.

You will work closely with subject matter experts and senior stakeholders on high-impact programmes spanning modelling and simulation, autonomy, geospatial systems, synthetic environments and digital twins.

You will remain deeply technical while setting direction, leading teams and acting as the technical authority across projects.
