You will help to transform early-stage concepts into validated systems, driving innovation from TRL1 through TRL6. This role offers a hybrid working environment. The role will require: - Generating models and engineering drawings of cryogenic systems ready for manufacture.

You will help shape how devices are assessed and qualified for use in space, drawing on existing data, modelling, and targeted testing where appropriate. - This role suits a physicist or engineer with research experience and strong technical writing skills, who wants to move into applied space work.

You should have experience in electronic structure methods and interest in method development for strongly correlated systems, direct experience in quantum computing is beneficial but not essential.

You will receive supervision, help, advice and direction from members of the cryptography team and have access to the support of a broad range of security experts from the HP Security Lab.

You will be expected to learn about new areas associated with the project, to work with the team and also independently as required, and to discuss your approaches and results with the team.
