Principal Project Engineer jobs in Dundee

You will have a Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area e.g. Construction, Architecture, Quantity Surveyor, NEBOSH qualifications or equivalent and a willingness to become an Incorporated Member of the Association for Project Safety (IMaPS).

You will develop and deliver the DCC corporate CDM training programme and maintain appropriate governance and records.

You will lead and grow a portfolio that turns research into evidence-based strategy, options appraisal, business cases and clear recommendations to improve outcomes. This permanent role will be based in one of our offices (Dundee or Newcastle) in line with your preferences.

You will be responsible for advanced troubleshooting, resolving complex L3 technical issues, and developing automation scripts (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to streamline operational workflows. A critical element is active monitoring using industry-standard tools to anticipate and mitigate potential failures, maintaining strict adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

You will actively manage crucial vendor relationships related to specialized electrical components, review comprehensive technical specifications, and ensure that all integrated systems meet stringent performance and quality criteria. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and a proven ability to deliver complex engineering projects on time and within scope.
