You will help run the day-to-day operations of a small, structured education setting, working closely with the Team Leader to support behaviour, wellbeing and engagement. This role involves guiding staff, maintaining clear routines and communication, and helping pupils make positive progress so they can move on successfully in their education.
You will be required to support the teacher in providing a safe, interesting and stimulating environment for all children.
You will work within a friendly team to achieve the aims and objectives of each day and to ensure a high standard of academic, emotional, social and intellectual support throughout the day.
You will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, supporting pupils’ progress, and fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment. You will support pupils academic progress, wellbeing, and social development in line with the schools ethos. Your key responsibilities will include:
You will be responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing a Year 1 class, working closely with other teaching colleagues to ensure support and consistency. The role includes full teaching responsibilities. A knowledge of Essential Letters and Sounds would be advantageous.
You will design personalised Primary level Maths, English or Science lessons that engage, inspire, and help learners progress academically. - Deliver tuition sessions directly with learners in their own homes, schools or local settings such as a library – in-person tuition only.
You will work through a contract for service and will be paid via PAYE.
You will be required to support pupils across the Primary Key Stages, who follow a foundation curriculum due to the level of their needs. As well as supporting Phonics, Literacy and Numeracy, you will be required to support in creative Art and play lessons. If you enjoy fun and creative play with Play-Doh and painting, this could be the role for you.
You will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to provide personalised support that helps pupils access learning and develop independence. Key Responsibilities * Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEN.
