You will work alongside our expert Ophthalmologists as part of our refractive and cataract surgery multidisciplinary clinical teams, meaning you’ll be involved in leading edge practice, learning from some of the country’s leading specialists in clinical eye care.
You will be expected to work on a rolling rota, which will include early, late shifts and weekend working (shifts are: 7.30am – 3.30pm and 2pm – 10.15pm) It is important that you have experience of working with children/adults with autism, complex needs and behavioural challenges, as well as being confident in working alongside them and as part of a staff team.
You will be integral to our specialised 24/7 FNC team, pioneering the "Right Care, Right Place" model championed by the Scottish Government. Leveraging telephone and "Near Me" technology, your role involves: Conducting direct patient assessments to optimise case decisions. Significantly reducing unnecessary Accident & Emergency (A&E) presentations.
