You will work with them, their families and other agencies to meet their assessed needs and support them to achieve their potential. - Include assessment, planning and interventions with Children in Need, Children Looked After and Children in need of Protection, as well as young people preparing for adulthood.
You must have previous experience working within the children with disabilities team
You will need to have two years' experience of working within an adoption service and have a working knowledge of adoption regulations.
You must have the ability to build relationships, have worked directly with children, especially those where permanency was the plan.
You will need strong communication skills and be able to organise yourself and others.
You will be required to monitor and review existing EHC Plans through the Annual Review process; this may require attendance at the review in line with Council expectations.
You will be required to manage a caseload of active EHC plans (circa 160-200) in our 0-14 casework team.
