You will be working as part of a friendly, professional and expert team supported by our Pharmacy Lead, Gemma, to assist in the provision a pharmacy service for inpatients, outpatients and day patients using the hospital.

You will also provide assurance to the senior management team that medicines use and management is safe and effective.

You will work closely within the medicines management team, but also alongside GPs, nurses, reception teams, and Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) to deliver high-quality medicines optimisation and patient care in primary care. Person Specification

You will administer medicines to patients against a valid prescription, ensuring this is taken correctly, provide advice to patients about the appropriate use of medicines and promote healthy lifestyles to aid their rehabilitation.

You will dispense prescriptions and stock items, whilst supervising assistants when in the dispensary.
