You will need significant experience of supporting people with complex needs and risk management whilst also having a real desire to work with an excellent and positive team.

You will be able to demonstrate good organisational skills, leadership, communication skills and a willingness to work closely with colleagues and Team Leaders to ensure the effective and smooth running of the Service.

You will usually be based in one area to provide consistency and continuity for both yourself and the people you support. You don't need to have previous experience in this field. You just need to bring the right values and you can build your skills with on-the-job training and there are also lots of opportunities to progress.

You will be expected to provide care at a high standard in order to help the residents and ensure that you are always there for them.

You will have the maturity to be able to work within a positive behaviour support framework, to accept responsibility, handle stress and to grow in confidence as a skilled practitioner.

You will be working in a 1 to 1 capacity with students who have very complex emotional and behavioural needs. These students often come from traumatic backgrounds and are disengaged with mainstream education. This school supports secondary aged students, some of which are on EHCPs.

You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.
