You will provide domestic assistance in the care home, with particular responsibility for the overall cleanliness of the care home, to the standard necessary for the health and safety of service users.

You should have experience of cleaning, preferably to a schedule or in a work setting and an understanding of the rights of older people and adults with additional support needs.

You must have: experience of working with children, as a parent or in a voluntary or professional capacity; an understanding of the basic needs of children; the ability to co-operate with others and work effectively as a member of a team; a patient, cheerful personality with a flexible, open and caring approach.

You must have at least 2 years experience of working in a busy office environment, and an SVQ 3 or equivalent in a related field.
