You will have worked on PLC controlled machinery, within the capacity as a controls and automation engineer. On a day to day basis, the machinery will be for example, extruder machinery, conveyors, fillers, wrappers, and other manufacturing machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
You will have served a minimum of a full apprenticeship in electrical engineering. Ideally working within a heavy manufacturing environment carrying out system accuracy tests, temperature uniformity surveys and instrument calibrations on gas fired furnaces. PLC programming skills required on Siemens S5/7, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi.
You will have served a minimum of a full apprenticeship in a production environment. Competent operating a range of metal removal equipment including conventional & CNC milling machines (HAAS), lathes, surface grinders & drills.
You will also be able and willing to be involved in general mechanical work.
