You will be working in a friendly and supportive team in a fast paced, reactive and varied role.

You will need to have good IT and organisation skills and the flexibility to turn your hand to different tasks as the situation demands.

You will be engaging with a broad range of partners and forming relationships with colleagues across the wider Defra team.

You will assist with the opening and closing of buildings, setting and un-setting of alarm systems and have key holding responsibilities. Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.

You will ensure that prisoners are treated with dignity and respect while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

You will play a key role in providing structure and routine, ensuring prisoners attend work and education, and follow the prison regime.
