You will prepare patients for SACT through pre‐assessments, educate them on expected symptoms and side‐effects, assess fitness to receive treatment and administer SACT via intravenous, sub‐cutaneous, intramuscular and oral routes. The chemotherapy day unit also holds a 24‐hour chemotherapy helpline; all nursing staff are expected to rotate into the helpline and triage patients who contact us.
