You will be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, confident delivering cost management services on complex projects from pre-construction through to completion, comfortable working within multi-disciplinary design teams, and experienced in client-facing environments.
You will lead cost planning, procurement, and contract administration on high-profile projects, managing client relationships and mentoring junior staff.
You will have proven experience working within a cost management function in a consultancy environment, and ideally have had exposure to managing multidisciplinary teams / projects across multiple sectors.
You will play a key role within a team which values your expertise and innovation, contributing to the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.
You will: Prepare and analyse project budgets, valuations, final accounts, and monthly CVR reports. Manage procurement activities, including supply chain engagement and preparation of order documentation.
You will be responsible for all aspects, including; subcontractors, administration, cash flow, risk management, cost control and change management.
You will need 3 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction or built-environment sector, ideally within a consultancy setting, though contractor-side experience will also be considered.
You must be a Chartered Surveyor, and while RICS Registered Valuer status is desired, it is not essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills are key, as you'll be preparing clear valuation reports and liaising confidently with clients, landlords, and tenants.
You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost plans, conducting measurement and BOQs, advising on procurement strategies and ensuring robust financial management across all project stages.
You will also play a key role in liaising with clients, design teams and contractors, providing clear and commercially astute guidance to help drive best-value outcomes.
